Drupal Rules! but…

What do I do with it?

I really want to use it to create something cool, but I need a reason to do something. Not only that, but I only have one database to use and although I can add it into the single one with two php forums and this blog, I don’t want to lose the stuff I have. I think I’ll wait until I need to do a redesign of 3DG before I use it, or maybe some other project comes along.

Even so, the point is drupal is an amazing open source content managment system with virutally limitless potential.

Check it out at drupal.org

Google resume

Google

I’m just working on my Google resume. Thats using my ClaimID and meta data as much as possible to bump my name and my site to the top of the google rankings.

I guess with this sort of thing its about luck as well as perserverance but hopefully I can get it done soon.

New photo bar in Flock

New Photo Bar

This new bar looks cool. Check it out by getting the latest Flock release at the continuous testing downloads page.

The blog editor is now set to always appear on top too which makes it much easier to drag photos into the it from the photo bar. Before you had to drag the photo down to the task bar to open up the editor before you could drag it in.

New Y! Maps Beta

Y! Maps Beta

The new Y! Maps Beta looks much cooler than the old one. The new mini-map in the corner is useful and helps you to keep track of where you are and give an easy way to zoom in and out.

The one problem I have with it is its not as detailed in some things as google maps / earth is. This is as far as you can zoom in to worthing without getting the error message. Thats ok because in google it just goes blurry and distorts that pic, not going any further in. With google though it still shows all roads, Y! doesn’t show any roads.

Its cool but stick with google.
