I’m glad that they’ve come to an agreement that finally makes the Apple iPhone name totally secure and in the past. These are two companies I’m a fan of so to see them disagree so publically over the name wasn’t what I was hoping for. Since I and pretty much everyone else was shocked that they actually did call it iPhone I’ve been wondering why but am also glad because I couldn’t imagine a phone from Apple with any other name.
Now it’s time to get back to looking forward to that iPhone-esque multi-touch iPod that they have to release soon. I’m itching to watch video podcasts on an iPod but I just can’t bring myself to buy a 5.5G iPod video because it’s only a matter of time before the 6G version hits. It’s especially frustrating because I’m having trouble fitting my music and podcasts on my 4gb nano to the point where I’m getting constant error messages.
Also can’t forget on the Cisco / Linksys side that I’m also pretty excited about the new 802.11n routers they have. When the broadband speeds get up to that sort of level to warrent paying for an upgrade to our current WRT54G I’ll be getting one.
